Dr Kathryn Geldard, Ph.D.,  M.Couns., Dip.O.T., MAAOT, Clinical Member of QAFT, PACFA reg 20429

Dr Kathryn (Kitty) Geldard is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Counselling in the School of Social Sciences at the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) in Queensland, Australia. Previously she was Senior Lecturer and program leader at USC. Earlier she worked as a full time lecturer in the School of Psychology and Counselling at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.

Kathryn is a member of the editorial board of the Australian Journal of Guidance and Counselling and a member of the research consultation group with PACFA.

Before working as an academic she was in private practice as a Child and Family Therapist and also worked at the Child and Youth Mental Health Service in Queensland as a Psychotherapist.

Kathryn carried out research on Adolescent Peer Counselling to gain her PhD, has a Masters Degree in Counselling, and is a registered Occupational Therapist. She worked and trained in the United States and in Australia to work with children and adolescents psychotherapeutically

David Geldard, BSc, DipPsych, MAPS, MASA,

David Geldard worked for many years as a Counselling Psychologist using and promoting an integrative counselling approach for working with children, adults, and families. His particular interest was in training counsellors to work with emotionally and behaviourally disturbed children and adolescents. He has now retired from clinical practice.
